Description

The origin of this stone is Sri Lanka, a country in South Asia. This gemstone is a 2.25 carat Natural White Sapphire Gemstone with a refractive index of 1.761 – 1.763 and an excellent polish. The color of this gemstone is white with no trace of any other color or hue present in it. Durability is one of the most important factors to consider when buying a gemstone. The durability of a gemstone refers to its ability to withstand wear and tear without losing its beauty or structural integrity. Durable gems are less likely to become damaged, scratched, chipped or broken over time than less durable ones.
The Mohs Scale of Hardness measures how well a mineral can resist scratching by another mineral or object with an equally hard surface (such as quartz). The scale ranges from 1 (softest) through 10 (hardest), with talc being the softest at 1 and diamond being the hardest at 10. Sapphire has a hardness rating of 9 on this scale; therefore it can be easily scratched by topaz which has a rating of 8 but resists damage from quartz which has a rating between 7-8 depending on its quality level

Sapphires are a variety of corundum, an aluminum oxide mineral. The color of sapphires comes from the element chromium, which is why they’re often referred to as “chroemium” stones.
In terms of clarity and color, this gemstone rates very high on the Mohs scale (8). It has a beautiful blue hue that’s accented by white flecks throughout its surface. The oval shape makes it easy to wear as an accessory or use in jewelry design projects like necklaces and earrings!

Natural White Sapphire Gemstone is a gemstone that has a long history of being used as an ornament, and it’s still one of the most popular choices for engagement rings today. The stone comes in many different colors, but the most common are blue, pink and yellow.
The certification process for sapphires includes lab tests to ensure that they meet certain standards for quality and color. These tests include:

  • Color grading (grading between fancy light blue to fancy dark blue) – This test determines how saturated your sapphire’s color is by comparing it against other stones in its category. A higher grade indicates more intense shades of blue or purple; lower grades mean lighter hues with less saturation. If you want something truly unique, choose an ungraded stone instead!
  • Clarity grading – This test measures how much internal flaws there are within your gemstone–the fewer flaws there are on average across all angles of view when examined under magnification by a trained professional jeweler using magnification equipment specifically designed for this purpose (i’m not kidding), then higher clarity grades will be assigned based upon those findings.”
